Our Water Day stories.

Yesterday was an amazing day. These are the terrific things that Hunt and I did: slippery long slide, super water guns, wet sprinkler, very fun sponge throwing and the red water trough. There were two activities that we didn't do, they are the pool and the bubbles. It might seem like the end but wait there's more. 
We also shared lunch.

Yesterday we had our water fun day. I walked to the pool first then the cool water guns then sponge throwing then bubbles and last of all the Sprinklers and Pita Pete came. I felt jolly holly as a Molly. After that I was not even sleepy there were heaps of cool things to do with Kaiden!!!! It was cool! I swam to the deep side and there was a rope. There were teachers at each activity. We had a shared lunch and there were all sorts of food. I brought chips and strawberries. After we watched a movie. It was Free Willy with Room 3.

Yesterday it was water fun day. There was a water slide, sponge throwing, water guns, water trough, pool, bubbles and sprinklers. The first I went to the large pool. I played in the large pool. And then I walked to the water guns and when I was finished I went to the water trough. I thought it was fun I was looking at the sponge throwing and I ended up at the sponge throwing. I was hitting them in the face and after that it was a shared lunch. It was yum.

Yesterday at Clive School we had a water fun day! I first went in the pool and last I went in the red fire engine. I loved them all but I liked best ... the pool!! At the end the fire fighters squirted water at us. It was funny cos Jacana's Dad came to school.

Yesterday it was our Water Day. First I went to the enormous pool. I was pretending to be a shark. It was cool but I walked away and I played with the water guns. I got some people that were in bigger classes and smaller classes. I helped a little kid when he needed it and he was about to squirt so I squirted him. I went to the trough. The fire engine squirted us.

On Wednesday I played with Kaiden, first we played in the fantastic pool I didn't wear orange flippers. Then we played with cool green and yellow sponges. It was super fun! Then we played at the water trough but I just lay in the boiling stones. Then I walked off and did the terrific water guns. then I got an awesome magazine and a great book! We had an incredible shared lunch.

Yesterday the Juniors had a water fun day. Trafford and I stuck together the whole day. The first okay activity was the slippery water slide. We slid on before we could. The slide kept hurting me when I slid. The second activity we did was the rapid squirting water guns. Trafford, Mason and I were in a team. I crept up on everyone. The third thing we did was the Sprinklers. The sprinklers shot out a long distance.

Yesterday was an awesome water day. I went fast to the freezing cold pool. Second I went to the sponge throw. There was a greenish yellow man painted on a huge board. Third I went to the blasting water guns.

Yesterday it was wet Wednesday because we had a ... Water fun day! I felt amazed. The wet activities we have is the deep pool , slippery water slide, painting, sponge throwing, cool water guns, soapy bubbles, water trough and the wet sprinkler. The very first fun activity I went to was the deep end of the cold pool. I thought I was going to drown. There was some fire fighters and one fire engine and when all of the Juniors are in the middle of the field they squirted us with their huge hose.

On Wednesday it was our Water day. It was exciting and I nearly melted into lava and I was boiling too! I did water guns and walked to the pool to cool me down! The fire engine people squirted us and it was cold and freezing for me! Manawa and I were playing together in the cold pool! Manawa did not love the cold pool I do not know why she didn't like the cold water. Someone pushed her in the pool and I said Hey don't do that otherwise I'll tell my Dad and Mum and brother you egg.

Yesterday it was Water fun Day. We had a water slide. Mrs Scott wet me and Ava and a fire truck came. There was water guns. I squirted Jacana. She didn't know and I laughed. The fireman wet me with the hose and I got wet. At lunch we had a shared lunch I had chippies, they were yummy and I had mousetraps but I really didn't like them.

Yesterday we had a water fun day. I did go in the pool with Ava and Emma and Piper and Jacana. They were my best friends. There was a fireman and a fire lady. Ava and I we went to the pools. That was fun when we went in the pool. Then we had a hose squirt. Then we had a shared lunch.

Yesterday we had a water fun day at Clive School. We had a shared lunch. I played in the pool and then sponge throwing and doing the trough, doing chalk on the concrete and painting it with water. The red fire truck came and squirted us with cold water. It was 29 degrees outside. I was hot! Luckily we had lots of water. Almost everyone went to the pool first. We had an awesome day. I went home with Erin that day and I went in the pool again because... Erin had a pool! and we went on the bikes and scooters down up down up but ... when Erin was at the top of the smooth hill Erin's chain came off her bike and her nice Mum had to hurry up and had to fix it and then Erin came happily down the hill. It was my best day ever!

Yesterday we had our amazing fun day. First I went in the deep pool, I stayed in there for a long time. After I walked to the cool water guns. Next to the wet sponge throwing. After I was very wet I went to lie in the hot sun.

Water fun day yesterday was cool. I went to the pool first and swam in the deep end. I thought it was fun! The fire guy let me wear the fire engine clothes. The guy showed me around. He squirted the hose on me.

At school a couple of days ago we had a day called Water Fun Day. Piper came with me first we went to the pools and if you are wondering we went to the pools of our school. Piper was telling me to do a little jump in and see how much I can swim to. I felt excited and I thought it was fun. Next we did the waterslide and I said to Piper I am having two waterslides.

First I went to the pool with my friend called Emma. It was freezing in the pool and it was great fun too. Then we had a walk to the Sponge throwing. I got very cold while I was doing that activity and there were heaps of sponges. Next I went to the water trough. I got very hot!! I went to get dry with my towel. Then the bell rang and that was the time for the fire people to squirt us. Then it was lunch time and we had a shared lunch. The water fun day was fantastic. And then it was the end of the day then we went home. It was so fantastic we went in the pool at home. We had to sit down when the fireman sprayed us. Then we got so excited so we all stood up to get squirted. Then something exciting happened we met Pita Pete. He gave me a High Five. I didn't know that it was Jacana's Dad dressed up in a Pita Wrap. And that was the end of Water Day.

Shared Lunch

After our water activities we had a shared lunch in Room One.

We had lots and lots of scrummy food.

Pizza Production

Room One was smelling fantastic on Friday as our Inquiry Groups made their trial pizzas.

The focus of this pizza making was actually about working in groups, learning to listen to others and possibly needing to compromise and also about taking turns and sharing. Most children did this fabulously and I was really proud of those that compromised a little. Well done!!

There were certainly some 'interesting' combinations being put to the test!! 

        Invented, constructed and soon to be cooked.

     All cooked and waiting for the look, smell, taste testing to begin. 

     Coop wasn't keen to taste one of his group's pizzas but he did!

      And felt pretty pleased with himself...

     

       For a second or two then ...

       Jahdae, Emma and Ava enjoyed their dessert pizza.

      This what some children found out about their pizzas and pizza making.

     "Olives are disgusting with jam."

     "Salami is really hot and we should have cut it into little pieces."

     "Strawberries melt and the juice goes into the pizza base and then the base tastes like    

            strawberries!"

     " Don't cook oranges on pizzas, they dry up and have no juice and are yuk."

     "We forgot to put something sticky on the bottom to hold our toppings on... Oops!"

     "Cooked fruit is horrible!"

     "Cooked fruit is yum!"

     "Everyone has different tastes."

     "Making pizzas is fun!"

     "My group wouldn't do what I wanted but we had to keep talking to work it out."

     "Working with my group was cool"

Spring Fling

We all loved creating things to celebrate Spring.

Some people wanted lots of pretty, some wanted lots of patterns, some just wanted lots!
