Seeing Double in Room One

In Maths we are investigating Doubling numbers and then trying to get really quick at recalling them.

Hiwi the Kiwi - The Ministral

This morning we had The Ministral come and talk to us about Fishing for the Future which means to put back the little fish so they can grow and also put back the really big fish because they might be going to have babies. 

He also told us about ALWAYS wearing a life jacket in a boat even if you are an adult!, 

Some tips from The Ministral were:

              Handle the fish you catch with a wet towel not your hand to protect their scales if you are going to return them to the sea.

              Always wash your fish in salty water to keep them fresh and so better to eat. Only use fresh water just before you cook the fish.

              Always wear a life jacket when you are in a boat or kayak. And tell everyone else too!!
