Police Dog Visit

We had Constable Diver bring his sniffer dog Saru to school and we saw how she could find different smells quickly. Nahiti asked a question about Saru's training. It was great to have Sonny join us in the Hall too.

At the Museum

Because it is coming up to MATARIKI we went to the Museum to learn about celebrating some Maori culture. We looked at the Matariki stars and watched Rhonda do some flax weaving, We tried some weaving and made it into a star kite. We had fun flying our kites when we got back to school. We also got to look around the Maori artefacts in the Museum and practised asking good questions about what we saw.
